City of New Braunfels 175th Anniversary Signage

Our silent monument heard ‘round the world… (or at least New Braunfels, that is!)
 
The IH-35 Gateways, the anchor project for the 175th celebrations, are complete! Mayor Barron Casteel, 175th Chair Anne Miller, and 175th Vice Chair Benno Engel cut the ribbon early March to make it official.
 
The two gateways, one on northbound IH-35 and one on southbound IH-35, welcome visitors to New Braunfels and are the ONLY community gateway signs along IH-35 that light up at night!
 
The gateways were privately funded by our generous sponsors – Braunfelsers, Founders, Pioneers, and Pioneers +! Special thanks to TxDot, the City of New Braunfels, the New Braunfels City Council and the 175th Industrial Committee for helping this project become a reality.
